Is it safe for my psp?? please help me?

Some firmware may "bust" your psp, which means it will stop working, but some may not. The best firmware is version 6.3, sadly you do not have it. Version 6.20 is also good, but will not make your psp as fast as version 6.3. A UMD might not be compatible with your psp, depending on the firmware used. Check that with any psp store. To add firmware, you have to pay for it, the best version 6.20 is about $80, and if you can't pay all at once, you have interest. Version 6.30 is also basically the same, if you don't want to have version 6.20, but it costs $100. But if I were you, I would not buy the most expensive kind, due to half the world in poverty. That's up to you, though.
