How to get rid of smoke smell in clothes?

Put one cup of white vinegar added to your wash water. it will get rid of smoke odors . persiperation and make your clothes cleaner I buy white vinagar, by the gallon keep it in the laundry room.. my 2 daughtres smoke and when I get back from visitng their housei I really stink! White vinegar deos the trick !
