Divorced Parents in the 35-45 range...dating other parents...help?

Sounds to me like you are trying to pressure him into something he is not ready for ( or does not want, ever). You keep asking for a "family" life. You are basically asking him to marry you. If that was what he wanted, he would not be looking for another condo an hour away from you. Sounds like you want different things (at least right now). You obviously want marriage and it seems as though that is not his plan. If that is what you need/want, perhaps he is not the man for you. You cannot force him into what he is not ready for. It will end in disaster.
